Zurich-based private bank Maerki Baumann has agreed to form banking partnerships with crypto firms, solving a major pain point for companies in the industry. Maerki Bumann is the second Swiss bank to accept crypto assets after Falcon Private Bank. With an increase in popularity of cryptocurrencies, more people have access to money from such transactions. Most Swiss banks, however, refuse to accept such money as it is hard to verify to comply with money laundering regulations. For now, only crypto assets from payments received for a service rendered or from mining successes can be kept with the bank.
