🥈 Silvergate Bank plans for IPO

Silvergate Capital, the parent company of crypto focused Silvergate Bank has filed paperwork with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that would allow it to go public. The company's S-1 filing shows that the bank has 483 crypto clients with a combined $1.7 billion in deposits as of Q3 2018. Furthermore, the filing shows that Silvergate's largest customers are exchanges, with $793 million in deposits followed by institutional investors with $573 million.
