🚨 SEC tightens the noose on ICO-funded startups

Over the last few months, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has been cracking down on ICOs that didn't properly ensure their tokens were sold exclusively to accredited investors, a qualification that allows U.S. startups to be exempted from having to register its securities offerings with the SEC. Accredited investors are individuals with income higher than $200,000 in each of the past two years or a minimum net worth of $1 million.
