🌊 Ripple reveals launch of XRP backed product this year

Sagar Sarbhai, head of regulatory relations for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East at Ripple, confirmed that Ripple's xRapid platform will go live sometime in the coming months. Ripple markets xRapid as a way to leverage the XRP ($XRP) token to conduct cross-border transactions without the need for pre-funded accounts. To date, the company has partnered with more than 120 banks and financial institutions on its xCurrent platform which uses blockchain technology to settle transactions but doesn't use XRP to do so.
