Real takeaways from real trading volumes

Real trading volumes for the top ten cryptoassets have surged since the start of 2020. Trading activity peaked on March 12, during which a mass-market selloff resulted in the highest volumes seen since Jun. 2019. Almost all of this trading volume has revolved around base pairs, namely BTC, ETH, and USDT, with Tether's share of the volume increasing substantially over the last year. Tether's rise is yet another sign that crypto is dollarizing at a rapid rate.
