Q2'20 Review: Platform wars narrative poised for a comeback

While DeFi stole the show in Q2 2020, a quiet storm is brewing within the smart contract market. Ethereum competitors are a well-funded group that is looking to capitalize on Ethereum's rising gas fees. The platform wars are likely heading into a new era, where newer networks begin investing heavily in DeFi as they look to (1) support applications with actual demand and (2) present an Ethereum alternative that’s worth the transition.
