🔎Out of 460 million bitcoin addresses, only 37 percent ‘economically relevant’

According to a new report from crypto research firm Chainalysis, only 37 percent (172 million) of Bitcoin ($BTC) addresses are economically relevant, meaning they are controlled by individuals or services who currently own Bitcoin. Furthermore, only 27 million of these actually hold the cryptocurrency. Of the 37 percent identified in the report 86 percent belonged to a service like an exchange or darknet market.
