📉 NVIDIA updates financial guidance for fourth quarter of fiscal year 2019

Electronic manufacture NVIDIA's Q4 earnings were worse than projected, landing at $2.2 billion versus the expected $2.7 billion. The drop reflects lower revenue from its datacenter and gaming platforms. In light of the cryptocurrency bear market, mining rigs were an expected drag on Q4 earnings, but profits from the gaming and datacenter were expected to buoy NVIDIA's Q4. Still, founder and CEO Jensen Huang remains confident in NVIDIA's strategy after "an extraordinary, unusually turbulent, and disappointing quarter."
