Contrary to what he originally assumed, British economic and financial historian Niall Ferguson has admitted that there will actually be material use cases for currencies like Bitcoin ($BTC) built on blockchain data structures. Coin Telegraph also reports that the historian openly questions whether or not fiat-collateralized coins and tokens will ultimately create a new and useful form of money.
