😨 New Zealand crypto exchange Cryptopia goes offline citing hack

According to an announcement from New Zealand based Cryptopia the exchange has “suffered a security breach which resulted in significant losses.” The exchange's website is currently offline with a notice stating that “Cryptopia is currently in unscheduled maintenance mode. We will be back soon.” While there have been no details provided on the value of the hack or the tokens impacted wallet tracking account Whale Watch noted 19,391 Ethereum ($ETH) tokens worth nearly $2.44 million and around 48 million Centrality ($CENNZ) tokens worth about $1.18 million were transferred from Cryptopia to unknown wallets on Jan. 13.
