Multi-platform Monero mining malware targets audio engineers

Hackers are working to hide cryptocurrency mining malware in audio product software, according to The Next Web. Security researchers at ESET uncovered a Monero cryptocurrency mining bot called LoudMiner that has been distributed since August 2018, but in the past month has begun to surface in pirated versions of VST (Visual Studio Technology).
