🇮🇳 India expected to introduce new regulatory framework

The Indian Ministry of Finance announced that a regulations draft has been put together and will be discussed in the first week of July. Additionally, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on July 3rd 2018 about petitions against previous restrictions imposed by the Reserve Bank of India. In February, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley declared that cryptocurrencies are not legal tender and that the government would crack down on their use, and the Reserve Bank of India ordered regulated financial institutions to stop servicing businesses and individuals that deal with cryptocurrencies.
