📣 Fidelity is said to plan March launch of Bitcoin custody service

According to three insiders, Fidelity Investments is expected to launch its Bitcoin ($BTC) custody service in March 2019. Custody is a common financial sector practice wherein a third party holds assets like stocks. Under CEO Abigail Johnson, Fidelity has a been a first mover among institutions, mining Bitcoin as early as 2015. In October 2018, Fidelity announced its plans for a cryptocurrency platform designed for institutional investors like hedge funds.
