💳 EOS transaction speeds surpass Visa's average transactions per second

EOS broke two major records in terms of transaction processing speeds, first beating all other major cryptos at 2,822 transactions per second (TPS), then crossing the 3,000 TPS mark. This is beyond the average TPS of Visa which is around 1,700 though Visa is capable of much more under load. EOS achieves this throughput by restricting the number of block producers that participate in consensus.
