dOrg launches the first legally established limited liability DAO

The first legally established Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) was announced today by dOrg, a blockchain development cooperative. The dOrg DAO deployed to the Ethereum blockchain and then formed a Blockchain-Based Limited Liability Company (BBLLC) in Vermont, which enacted an enabling law for BBLLCs in 2018. According to a statement from dOrg, they want to make the same process "accessible to anyone in the world. Ultimately, the process of configuring and deploying a legally registered DAO will be as easy as creating a social media account.”
