Privacy-focused browser Brave ($BAT) has filed privacy complaints in Britain and Ireland against Google and other search advertising firms. Brave claims that Google and others are failing to properly protect user data under the new European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). In filing the complaint the company hopes to trigger an article in GDPR that would require an EU-wide investigation, making it an early test case for the regulator responsible for enforcing the new rules.
