Blur's Token Incentive Model

Jun 29, 2023 ⋅  9 min read

Blur's campaign airdrop system leverages token incentives, integral to attracting and retaining users, by linking future airdrops and token distributions to loyalty programs. This deviation from traditional one-time lump sum airdrops has launched Blur to industry leadership, instigating a shift in user acquisition and retention methodologies. Despite this, the impact of token incentives, although crucial in Blur's rise to prominence, hasn't always resulted in significant retention within post-incentive programs in the wider cryptocurrency sector. Certainly, Blur's model, with its continuous incentives and focus on sustained loyalty, appears to be a promising move towards promoting continuous customer engagement. Still, it's uncertain whether this is merely a progressive step or the final answer to long-term user retention.
