👮 Bitcoin use primarily speculation, not criminal activity according to DEA

According to blockchain data collected by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) between 2013 and today, only 10% of bitcoin ($BTC) transactions are used for criminal activity like purchasing drugs online. When the organization first started tracking this data in 2013 around 90% of transactions were tied to criminal activity. While only 10% of transactions are associated with illicit activities today the dollar value of these transactions has increased compared to 2013.
