In an exclusive interview with Cointelegraph Changpeng Zhao, founder, and CEO of Binance ($BNB), announced plans to launch its first fiat enabled exchange. Binance Uganda will operate as a distinct unit of the parent company and accept exchanges between the Uganda Shilling and various cryptoassets. The company chose Uganda as a jumping off point for plans to expand in Africa due to the low number of banked individuals and strong support from government officials, regulators, and local businesses. Binance has continued to grow its platform and plans to open two to three new locations in addition to launching a decentralized exchange.
