Blockchain phones like Samsung’s S10, HTC’s Exodus 1, and Sirin Labs’ Finney are hitting the market, but what are they for? A new vision of the internet, Web 3.0, is still in the early stages of development. These blockchain phones are leading the charge by addressing critical issues early, however. At the top of the list is key management: in a peer-to-peer, blockchain, internet of things world, losing your personal keys is akin to the barn burning down before winter. New systems, like the S10’s Knox wallet or HTC’s “Social key recovery” system, are fixing Web 3.0 issues before they happen.
