Chain analysis firm Trail of Bits recently audited the Bitcoin SV Node implementation source code, finding three security vulnerabilities of medium severity. The three concerns, which were patched in an early February update, all revolved around Denial of Service attacks. Bitcoin SV believes the audit was the first security implementation audit in the ten year history of Bitcoin ($BTC). Interestingly, Trail of Bits concluded that the vulnerabilities were inherited from Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Cash ($BCH) and most likely remain active on those chains. The information was shared with development teams of Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitcoin XT, Bitcoin ABC, and Bitcoin Core in a show of professionalism and integrity in the space.
