The technology team of Bianjie AI has created IRISnet, the first regional hub in the Cosmos ecosystem outside of the Cosmos Hub, which will focus on providing infrastructure and protocols for distributed business applications. The Cosmos project is building an interoperability standard to connect different blockchains and enable cross-chain data and token transfers.

IRISnet is a strategic partner of the Interchain Foundation and Tendermint (the company), who are the core contributors behind the Cosmos Network. The IRIS Hub will potentially be the first hub to interoperate with the Cosmos Hub and the independent chains (called zones) connected to it.

The key innovations that IRISnet aims to introduce are the incorporation of a service-oriented infrastructure into Cosmos, the integration of business services offered by public and consortium chains as well as legacy systems, and interoperability of those services across different chains. The IRIS network will also include client-side tools, including a smart wallet enabling cross-chain multi-asset storage.

Bianjie Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (Bianjie AI), the company behind IRISnet, was founded in 2016. This Shanghai-based start-up focuses on developing blockchain-based products and solutions for enterprises, specifically in the healthcare and financial industries. Besides IRISnet, Bianjie is building BEAN (Blockchain Edge Analytics Network), which is a permissioned chain that delivers distributed data analytics services for healthcare data analysis.
